Unconvincing duck, by Tim Train

 

A duck in the pond
Is saying quack.
The other ducks
Are sitting back,
Incredulous,
As if to say
They lack the drive
To duck today.

They don't know if
They're ducks or not.
To know for sure
Would be a shock.
To float about,
To dabble-bob -
Like, what the hell?
Is that my job?
To do all that
Would kinda suck -
(This is deep thinking
For a duck.)
