Enough's Enough, by Jai Thoolen

Meet Mister O’Leary
Who jumps at a theory
At the drop of his tin-foil hat.
His accumulation
Of misinformation
Has no basis in fact and falls flat.
But he forges ahead
With more nonsense to spread
And pushes upon you his dictum.
When he’s caught in the act
Touting fiction as fact,
Well, then is his time to play victim.
He can dance to his song
While he claims we’re all wrong
But the burden of proof is on him.
He’ll shout louder than you
With conclusions he drew
And no matter the bow or how slim.
But he’ll just get more staunch
And get ready to launch
That his mind is more open than yours.
In his world of pretence
There’s no logic or sense
Because obvious truths, he ignores.
He has made it an art
How he tries to sound smart,
And he claims that he knows all these things.
But it just serves to prove
That he’s stuck in his groove
Or a puppet that dangles from strings.
The pursuit, as one learns,
When for knowledge one yearns,
Then the search and the net must be wide.
If he presets the goal
In attempts to control
Then opinion and fact will collide.
So, he’ll start with the names
And his childish games
Because reason was never ‘all that.’
And event-u-ally
Other people will see…

Just a man in a tin-foil hat!
