TV, by Anne Bowman

TV, can go on the blink for all I care, Too vacuous, too voluptuously insane Too vain. In vain I grab the remote Buttons don't work again, too much pain! TV. Our drug of the nation (once) Sadly becoming redundant in this stream-to-any-device Age. Poor tv. Please don't mistake me for being Too vindictive in regards your attempt to Entertain me. Poor tv. Please don't forsake me in these times when I need you most. TV. Blink at me 3 times to signal that you are alive. TV. I miss static snow in this digital age. TV. We grew up together, well almost, And there seemed to be a lot we could share. Now there's only crap on free to air. Oh TV, toothless vampire, turgid vixen, Oh,
Oh, Need my fix of televised valium, Gimme TV.
